Dosing Metering Pumps: With The Modern Industry Moving Towards Automation

- Jun 18, 2018 -

The  dosing metering pump is a kind of special volumetric pump that can meet  various strict process flow requirements, and the flow can be adjusted  steplessly in the range of 0-100%. The dosing metering pump is also called a dosing pump or a proportional pump. The  dosing metering pump is a reciprocating positive displacement pump,  which is used for accurate metering. The dosing device manufacturer  usually requires the dosing pump to have a stability accuracy of no more  than ±1%. With  the continuous development of the modern industry towards automatic  operation and long-distance automatic control, the metering pump with  dosing features strong compatibility and adaptability to a wide range of  media.
When  it comes to dosing metering pump heads, the usual problem is when  measuring acids, chlorine, fluoride, and hydrogen peroxide. Due  to the difference in drug concentration and operating temperature, it  is difficult to determine the specific pump head material. When measuring fluorides, we recommend Viton® sealed PVC pump heads. For most chlorination applications, EPDM sealed NP pump heads are preferred. Metering  pump manufacturers can only use PTFE sealed PTFE pump heads or  stainless steel pump heads for metering hydrogen peroxide mixtures. Concentrated hydrochloric acid is usually measured using VitonTM sealed plexiglass pump heads.
Concentrated sulfuric acid can be measured by selecting a PTFE-sealed PTFE pump head. Manufacturers  of chemicals will give relevant advice, or consult the ProMinent®  chemical anti-corrosion chart to determine the compatibility of  chemicals with contact materials.
Intelligent  dosing equipment uses sensor signals to control the working process of  the dosing pump. This control method requires the use of pH meters,  conductivity meters, and other monitoring instruments and corresponding  sensors. First,  the limit value of the control parameter (pH value or conductance  value) is set according to the operation requirement of the system. If  the system operates during the following conditions, the dosing device  starts to work: if the pH value is lower or higher than the set value. The  pH value of the dosing device manufacturer is low, indicating that the  acidity is too strong and the system has a tendency to corrosion; the  high pH value indicates that the alkali is too strong and the system has  a tendency to foul. At  this time, the detection instrument will feedback this signal to the  control system. The control system will then output the instruction to  the designated metering pump and allow it to open the dosing system to  adjust the pH value. After the pH value returns to normal, the metering  pump is turned off.
If  the conductivity is higher than the set value, the salt content of the  system is excessive, and there is a tendency of corrosion and scaling. At  this time, the monitoring instrument will feedback this signal to the  control system. The control system will then output the instruction to  the blowdown solenoid valve, and the solenoid valve will open to drain.  After the conductance returns to normal, the solenoid valve will close. The  dosing metering pump then opens the dosing and replenishes the  chemicals lost from the effluent, maintains the system's drug content at  a normal level, and adds the metered pump to the prescribed time.
In  fields such as electric power, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy  industry, environmental engineering, water treatment, etc., it is often  necessary to continuously inject a certain liquid into another liquid  to become a mixed liquid, a metering pump manufacturer, or to make added  medicaments and liquids. Chemical reactions occur in some of the components present to achieve the desired process requirements. In  order to achieve the best results, under the condition of changing  operating conditions, the amount of added chemical agent is  automatically tracked and adjusted to control the dosing speed.  Therefore, in this device, the BJF intelligent automatic dosing device  has a simple structure and is easy to install. Mainly  by the measurement box (pharmacy tank), metering pump (dosing pump),  automatic control system, connecting the pipeline and other components. In  addition to some dosing lines, sampling lines, and dosing concentration  detection devices, these devices are generally centrally installed in a  dosing room. The automatic dosing device integrates metering tanks,  dosing metering pumps, and automatic control systems. That is installed on a base.
